March Meeting, March 03/06/17

Attendance:  Jeff Miller, Marilyn Miller, Laura Holmes, Tami Fuchs, Linda Reynolds, Michelle Grimm, Marilyn Frank, Melissa Hieneke

Minutes were submitted from our February Meeting and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: No report as Carol is out of town.

Old Business:

MapleFest: Per our last meeting FOTD will be providing $350 towards entertainment for the event. Marilyn F. attended the Lions’ Meeting. The Lions’ will match our $350.   

-Music Red Higgins and Freedom Train

-FOTD Light Appetizers

-FOTD 50/50 Raffles and Raffle Prizes

-Fire Station will be closing street and setting up tent for additional seating/dancing.

Brat Fry: Tax Day Brat Fry will take place on April 18, 2017 in the Post Office Parking Lot from 10:30 until 3:30.  

-Marilyn M. and Jackie will order food and supplies for the event.

-Jeff will contact Lions Club for use of Food Trailer.

-We will have pre-order forms out earlier this year.

-Will try to have Chair Affair Raffle Tickets/License for pre-sales.

-Work Schedule and Bake Sale volunteers needed.

-New grill needed for event – Dave Z. is checking pricing.

New Business:

Mini-Park: We will be contacting City to see what can be done jointly to get the Mini-Park back into great shape.

Bikes: Still working on Bike Loan Program for FOTD/Downtown Area.

Flowers: Marilyn M. will take baskets to Frenchtown to be planted. We are also ordering (4) add’l baskets that have become missing throughout the years. Marilyn will also be asking Lee Waldhart (basket maker) about creating a large metal Christmas Decoration for the Riverwalk.

Chair Affair: The 2017 Chair Affair will be held on August 24. We will be getting posters, table tents and other materials out for advertising.

Next meeting Monday, April 3, 2017 at Las Palmas in Downtown Medford. Meeting will start at 5:15 p.m.
